Today, we celebrate and salute one of the most prolific leaders of the Civil Rights Movement—Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. May we always remember Mr. & Mrs. King’s bravery, perseverance and unselfish sacrifice—may they both R.I.P.
“I
refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless
midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace & brotherhood
can never become a reality. I believe that unarmed truth & unconditional
love will have the final word!” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Most
remember Dr. King’s “I have a dream” speech delivered during the March on
Washington in 1963. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of a day when racial
justice and equality would be the rule of the land and that it will linger on for
many years to come. The dream has not yet been realized, but we’re further
along than we were, because of dreamers like M.L.K, Jr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
had a dream, do you?
Ecclesiastes
5:3 teaches, “A dream comes with much business and painful effort.” Just
because things aren’t exactly as you desire them to be at this moment or
everything hasn’t unfolded, doesn’t mean God Almighty isn’t able to reach down
and work through broken and imperfect vessels like you and I! (Jer. 2:13, 18:6,
Mt. 9:17) We are God’s workmanship. Before God built the dream, He built the
dreamer and before God built the dreamer, He built the dream! (Eph. 2:10, Jer.
1:5, Rev.1:8)
“I know what I’m doing. I have
it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give
you the future you hope for! (Jeremiah 29:11) “I am the LORD! If I say it, it
will happen. There will be no more delays!” (Ezekiel 12:25) ~ GOD
Pray This Prayer With Me: LORD, I ask that You grow my
desire to please You and nurture my dreams that honor You! I ask when my heart
grows weary, place within me the determination to press on and focus on Your
greatness, until my faith becomes substance! (Hebrews 11:1) I humbly pray,
in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen! Have a great day! Never forget, in all
circumstances, God loves you and you are extremely valuable and important in
God’s eyes! In His service, Jacob...
