Consider It Pure Joy, My Brothers And Sisters, Whenever You Face Trials Of Many Kinds! (James 1:2-4 NIV)
As God’s children, we’re going to experience trials and afflictions and there are many choices we can choose when hard times come. We can choose to become angry at God for allowing the trial or affliction. We can become discouraged and give up. We can lose hope and miss the lesson and the blessing we can teach and become to others in similar situations—or we can choose to be joyful. James the 1st chapter reminds us to choose joy. Not joy for the trials, but joy for what those trials will produce. Trials deepen our faith in God, so we can contain the harvest God has promised and in that harvest there is no lack! (James 1:4) There will be more room to receive physically, financially, relationally, emotionally, spiritually, where there wasn’t before!
