Count It All Joy!

James 1:4 ESV teaches to “Count it all joy, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” Steadfastness means to be committed, dedicated, persistent, loyal and faithful. All of which should be common in the life of a believer, which produces perfection and completion. Let me explain, because of course there will always be critics, that say, “no one is perfect.” Critics who are also known as opponents, enemies, faultfinders, etc.—must see Christ in you. Perfect in this scripture means “mature.” Being joyful and endurance of trials produces followers of Jesus who are spiritually “grown up.” Those who know you best will still recognize that you are fully human and capable of various shortcomings and sins; however they will also witness the work God is doing in your life.
