Jesus Is The Reason For The Season!
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace! (Isaiah 9:6) Society has failed to really focus on the true meaning of this season. Many have commercialized and trivialized Christmas, to the point that the jolly guy in the red suit gets all the props and celebration, rather than celebrating Jesus' holy birth. If we choose to give gifts, we give not to receive gifts, but we should give as a reminder of the gift that keeps on giving—Jesus! Christmas is not wrong, as long as we keep Christ in Christmas! God came as the child Jesus, went to the cross to save us from our sins, rose on the third day—with all power in His hand, sits at the right hand of God—making intercession for us and will return one day to establish His eternal Kingdom and give us everlasting life!
