Those Who Trust In The LORD Will Renew Their Strength; They Will Soar On Wings Like Eagles; They Will Run And Not Grow Weary; They Will Walk And Not Faint! (Isaiah 40:31 HCSB)

The KJV reads, “They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.” Instead of Christ leaving us independent of His future assistance, Christ’s one purpose is to bring us into such dependence on Him that we’re not able to do without Him for one single moment. As long as we wait expecting Christ to perform single, occasional acts of grace for us from heaven, trusting Him each time to give us something that will last a little while, we cannot be fully matured. When we come to recognize this truth, how we’re not just waiting on the LORD for a single moment to gain strength and health, but we trust Him with our whole life, Christ becomes our strength for our walk, because Christ is now the strength of our lives!
