Emmanuel! God Is With Us!

Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel—which, when translated, means, God With Us! (Matthew 1:23 AMP) Many times, as problems seem permanent and sorrows grow, we forget that God is with us. (Matthew 1:23) God never leaves us to battle our way through difficulty alone. Some of the greatest lessons are learned from time spent with God in times of affliction & distress. When it seems our greatest trouble is weighing heavily on our shoulders, God promises to be our protector and strength, a present help who is always found in times of trouble. (Psalm 46:1 HCSB) The name Emmanuel emphasizes the nearness of God. Christ’s birth brought our holy God within reach of us, sinful man. God came to live with us so we could live with Him. The Son of God became the Son of Man, so He might change sinful flesh into children of God! (1 John 3:1) We are truly blessed and we never have to face difficulty alone. Emmanuel! God Is With Us!
