A Person's Fear Sets A Trap For Them, But One Who Trusts The LORD Is Safe! (Proverbs 29:25 GWT)
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4 ESV) God’s children never walk alone in their struggles. (Deuteronomy 31:6) Because we have Emmanuel “God with us”, we have nothing to fear—yet we fear the unknown. (Matthew 1:23) We fear, “What will the doctor’s test reveal?” “Will I get the job—did I make a good impression?” “Will he or she leave me?” The unknown is not only the valley, but it’s what happens after the valley, the future, what’s next, etc… “Will I be okay?” “How can I deal with this?” The unknown sometimes drives us to fear. In Psalm 23:4, the psalmist David placed his trust in God when he said, “For You are with me.” When God is with you, it does not matter who is not with you, for you or what’s up against you. You don’t have to worry about approval or acceptance, being alone or having your needs met. Nothing is allowed to come into your life or go without God...
