Do To Others Whatever You Would Like Them To Do To You! (Matthew 7:12)
The
Deeds Of A Man’s Hands Will Return To Him! (Proverbs
24:12 NAS)
Whether you know it as “you reap what you sow” or “what goes around comes around” (Galatians 6:7) If everyone followed the teaching in Matthew 7:12, it would solve many problems within this world. If we ever wondered how we should treat others, this scripture teaches us the answer as to how we are to treat others. But unfortunately, it is teaching that many of us have failed to follow so often in our lives. Notice Jesus’ teaching doesn't say to treat others like they treat us. However, this is often the standard we use in how we treat others: Someone wrongs us, so we find a way to get back at them. Someone threatens to hurt us in some way, so we threaten them in the same way. All of this comes from a failure to grow spiritually due to lack of knowledge of God's word and as a result, a lack of love for God and our fellow man. (1 John 4:20) Whatever treatment we expect to receive from God, is the same measure we must give to others. Why should we expect God to be merciful to us if we are not merciful to others? Why should we expect God to forgive us, if we are not willing to forgive others? How many of us have grown spiritually mature to the point that we do not treat others in the same way they treat us?
God’s Word To You: "I'm giving you a new commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you!” (John 13:34)
Pray this prayer with me: Father, may my every thought, word and deed be done to show others Your love and mercy, so they may come to know the love of Christ! I thank You for sending Your only son Jesus as the perfect example for me to follow and know that my labor is not in vain! I humbly pray this prayer, In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen! Have a great day and a great week! Never forget, in all circumstances, God loves you and you are extremely valuable and important in God’s eyes! In His service, Jacob...
