Don’t Let Evil Get The Best Of You; Get The Best Of Evil By Doing Good! (Romans 12:21 MSG)

Merciless & Wicked people make plots against Good & Righteous people and snarl like animals, but the Lord laughs and knows their time is coming soon! (Psalm 37:12-13 CEV)

Do Not Be Preoccupied With Evildoers! Do not envy those who do wicked things. They will quickly dry up like grass and wither away like green plants. (Psalm 37:1-2 GWT) The previous verses explain the way we overcome evil is through good! Whenever someone decides to take revenge and pay back evil for evil, they create a vicious cycle of evil that never stops. Revenge is an emotional rush to create a little pay back. In the short term it’s fun and rewarding, but in the long run revenge dishonors God. If we respond to bad with bad, we lose. Not only do we lose, but we miss God’s mark, we lose the opportunity to potentially bring someone to Christ by way of forgiveness. When someone treats you badly or evil, show them what you’re made of: the love, the righteousness and forgiveness modeled by Jesus and overcome their evil with your good!

God’s Word To You: Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it!” (Romans 12:19 MSG)

Pray this prayer with me: Father, in this troubled world where evil is increasing in number, help me to always be on guard by arming myself in the attire of a Christian soldier. (Ephesians 6:11) Grant me wisdom, discernment and favor as I encounter wickedness, plots and ploys. I thank You and I humbly pray this prayer, in Jesus' name. amen. Have a great day! Never forget, in all circumstances, God loves you and you are extremely valuable and important in God’s eyes! In His service, Jacob...
