In life we encounter situations that we must choose whether or not to rely on the beliefs and words of humanity and limited natural abilities or will we believe in the supernatural power and Word of God? Two important scriptures that have great influences on our decision: In Isaiah 55:11 GWT God speaks, “My word, which comes from My mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to Me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do." This scripture is both instructional and wisdom, God lifts those who are humble to greater things; however, God has no problem bringing down the proud. A proud person is self-seeking and self-exalted and that person is certain to face resistance from God. (Isaiah 14:12-14) A humble person relies on God for strength, direction and wisdom and considers the needs of others even before their own.
