Prayer Still Works!
From the beginning of time we were created to pray. Prayer gives us the ability to communicate with the all-powerful (omnipotent) God of this universe. Jesus teaches His disciples and He speaks to us today from Luke 18:1 HCSB when He says, “pray always and do not become discouraged:” In Philippians 4:6-7 NIV when He says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to Me. My peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus!” Lastly, in John 16:23-24 He says, “Whatever you ask the Father in My Name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” God is pleased with simple, trusting prayer. Can He hear us? Yes. Is He listening? Yes. We may have the same issues to talk to Him about many times, even over the span of years. I encourage you to approach God's throne of grace with confidence, tell God
